The Unrestricted Subsidy
Many grant seekers do not have funding to hire fundraising support.
Donate to provide free or subsidize services to artists.
Why Donate?
Unrestricted Funds was formed in 2020 by Ambrose Trataris during the pandemic as a way to make funding opportunities more accessible with a focus on awards averaging over $1,000, prioritizing BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ applicants and projects, and unrestricted funding. Unrestricted Funds has expanded to provide additional tools to grant seekers including deadline calendars, open source grant templates, and free one-on-one consultations.
Many artists apply for grants with a low success rate because they need professional support but they lack the funds to hire or work with consultants or grant writers. Donating to Unrestricted Funds would provide directly subsidized or free grant writing and consultation to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled creatives to jumpstart their fundraising and expand their own skillsets in the process.
